In terms of cost, reroofing is less expensive than a full roof replacement. A roof replacement will involve stripping all of the old shingles from the roof first before replacing them with new ones. Before installation of the new shingles, your roofing contractors will install a new underlayment or felt. This will help protect the roof deck from exposure to the elements.

The differences between reroofing and roof replacement are not drastic, but both have their advantages.
